Meet Mike

Mike Monreal lives in Wilson County, Texas.

He is a Regional Vice President for a top tier Project Management and Construction Company (Civil Engineer). He has many years of extensive experience in managing large regional organizations with Billion-dollar budgets, overseeing hundreds of employees and first responders, and developing capital programs and sustaining infrastructure.

Mike is a retired Navy Captain (O-6) whose career spanned 28 years in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Navy. During his career, Mike commanded many units including a Navy Seabee Battalion and a Field Engineering Command. As a decorated combat veteran and Regional Engineer, he has been recognized with the Legion of Merit (x2), Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (x3) and numerous other military awards. After a long and accomplished military career, Mike Monreal still has a desire to continue to give back to the country that offered him such extraordinary opportunities.

Because of Mike’s desire for continued service, he provided leadership in the State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) for our Senate District 21 from 2022-2024. He is also a life member of several organizations including the NRA, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and Navy Seabee Veterans of America (NSVA). His service does not stop here. Mike truly believes he can best serve the citizens of Wilson County and all of Texas as Our next County Judge.

As a young man, he received a Bachelor of Science Undergraduate Degree ('91) and a Master of Engineering Degree ('01), both in Civil Engineering, from Texas A&M University. He later achieved an Executive Business Certification in Organizational Management from Stanford University ('14).

In 2021, he was recognized as a Distinguished Graduate of the Texas A&M Zachry Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering. In May of that same year, he was awarded the title of Fellow in the Society of American Military Engineers for his exemplary servant leadership and outstanding work ethic.

I believe what best qualifies me to serve as Wilson County Judge is that I am a proven leader who has taken many different visions and turned them into realities. My extensive experience in managing large regional organizations, Billion-dollar budgets, leading hundreds of employees and first responders, developing master plans, capital programs and sustaining infrastructure, gives me the unique expertise needed for the office of County Judge.

Mike and his wife, Stephanie, have been married for 35 years and have four adult daughters, four sons-in-law and seven grandchildren.
