Floresville - Cannon arrives from sister American Legion Post
Floresville - May 31st - Mike and fellow Wilson County American Legion Post 38 members met at the Legion's Post Hall on Saturday afternoon to receive a cannon monument from a sister Post. The members showed up with tractors, chains, straps, shovels and power tools and had a great day of work together. Two grandsons had the joy of helping grandpa in his tractor too! Tractors, dirt and tools...who could ask for anything more!

Dewees - Home to the Dewees-Remschel House
Dewees - May 27th - Mike had the privilege of joining the Wilson County Historical Society for a wonderful potluck in the beautiful historical Dewees-Remschel House. The Society has worked tirelessly on renovating this beautiful home. The evening was filled with phenomenal foods and great fellowship. Thank you for the invite.

Floresville - Memorial Day 2025
Floresville - May 26th - Mike joined his fellow Wilson County American Legion Post 38 members, and members from neighboring Posts, in honoring those veteran's who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation in the US Armed Forces. Thank you to everyone who took time out of their busy holiday schedule to join us in honoring them.

Fairview Cemetery - Honoring Our Veterans for Memorial Day
Fairview - Also known as the Rock Church Cemetery, Fairview Cemetery held its Memorial Day celebration on Saturday May 17th. Mike and fellow members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 8555 performed the ceremony and it is believed it is the 20th year in a row to do so for the Post. Mike was blessed as the chaplain of the Post to say the prayers and bless the food for the potluck afterwards that was held in the historic little white chapel on the grounds. Many Civil War, WWI and WWII veterans have been interred here. Thank You to all who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.

Sutherland Springs - May 17th - Mike joined his fellow members of the Wilson County American Legion Post 38 on Saturday morning to honor those veterans who died while in service to our country. The cemetery has also interred a significant number of Texas Rangers and civil war veterans.

Floresville - Mike Emcee's the Cacahuate Cook-Off
Floresville - May 17th, Saturday, Mike was honored to be the Emcee for this year's Cacahuate Cook-Off, hosted by the Floresville Peanut Festival Association, with the new category of Military Veteran Teams Sponsored by the Veteran Service Office. It was a hot Texas day, but the BBQ was amazing!

Graduate Joining the US Air Force
Friday, May 16th, Mike had the honor to attend the graduation ceremony of this young man whom he helped to guide and mentor over the last year and who is set to join the US Air Force! There is no greater calling than to serve your country and your community. Mike mentors college students bound for the military in his role as a Fellow for the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). What an amazing opportunity to see our young people volunteer to protect our country for future generations!
Floresville-May 8, 2025 Wilson County's Got Style Fundraiser hosted by Wilson County Republican Women's Club
Floresville-May 8, 2025 Mike had the opportunity to meet and mingle with some of Wilson County Republican Women's Club members, friends and family at the Wilson County's Got Style Fundraiser! Several local Wilson County boutiques volunteered their items and were represented by fabulous volunteer models! And local coffee maker Jeremy Gaudlitz, owner of Slow Ride Coffee, donated freshly ground coffee for the evenings festivities! Thank you so much to all the volunteers and donations that made the event such a success.

Saturday night, May 3rd, Mike attended the Karnes County Humane Organization Crawfish Boil fundraiser event in Panna Maria. A fun evening to support such a great cause. A Chance Meeting
Saturday, May 3rd, Mike had a chance opportunity to meet some First Baptist youth group students having a fundraiser in front of McCoys for their upcoming mission trip and discuss what a county judge job entails. Very encouraging!

April 21st, Mike attended the La Vernia Aggie Club's 2025 Muster Ceremony, hosted at The Den. He was honored to say the opening prayer and the ceremonial invocation.

Floresville-Kicking off the campaign
Kicking off his announcement to run for County Judge, Mike was privileged to introduce the three guest speakers at this year's Wilson County Republican Party's Lincoln-Trump Dinner on March 27th. He had the honor of introducing Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham, M.D., Texas Railroad Commissioner Wayne Christian, and Steve Munisteri, Senior Advisor to Governor Abbott.
